Intarsia is one of the most creative ways to play with colour in knitting, and this workshop is designed to be fun, accessible and inspiring. Using the POPknit Vest pattern, you’ll explore everything you need to master the full intarsia technique: from reading charts to managing multiple strands with ease.
This pattern is ideal for learning, as it includes all the key elements of the technique in a clear and structured way. We’ll start by preparing your work for an intarsia project, learning how to organise your yarns and colours before you begin. Darío will guide you step by step: how to create and manage winders, how to join new colours neatly, and how to choose the right yarns to achieve a polished and uniform result.
Together, we’ll knit a small intarsia sample inspired by the POPknit Vest, using yarns from your own stash. By the end of the class, you’ll not only understand how intarsia works, but you’ll also feel ready to experiment with colour and shape in your own projects.
